Alan & Nancy Kauffman

Alan and Nancy Kauffman grew up in this area, both attended Kishacoquillas High School and they were married in 1976. For 12 years, Alan worked at New Holland in Belleville, and Nancy worked at a bank and as a homemaker. In 1988, they moved to Hesston, Kansas, so Alan could study in the Pastoral Ministry Program at Hesston College. Following graduation the family moved to Accident, Maryland, where Alan pastored a church for 12 years and Nancy managed “The Print Shoppe” the Kauffmans owned. In January of 2003, Alan began pastoring at Maple Grove (the church he grew up in). With the addition of an Associate Pastor in September 2008, Alan is now serving as lead pastor with an emphasis on preaching, worship planning and giving oversight to young adult, youth and children’s ministries. Nancy currently works at a local craft shop, finishing furniture, running a vinyl lettering business and babysitting. Alan and Nancy have two grown sons, Nate and Matt. Nate is married to Kristin Zook and they have two children, Wyatt and Jovie. Matt is married to Maddie Runk. Alan’s hobbies include bicycling, camping, hunting and writing. Nancy enjoys gardening, many crafts, and outdoor activities.
